MUSEUM MONDAY
Each Monday we will feature an artifact from the museum collection.

Greek pottery vase amphora replica featuring on the left; Artemis goddess of the hunt shooting an arrow with the God Apollo standing beside her. On the right; God of the sea, Poseidon holding his trident, with an olive tree between them. Archaic period amphora , 600 BCE.

This Tyrannosaurus rex toe bone fragment was found in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana and identified as T. rex by three factors. First where it was located as it shows the age of late cretaceous rock which this dinosaur fossils are found in. The second is the size as there was no predatory dinosaur with bones this big. Third is the shape, as this is the same of the toe bones in theropod dinosaurs, which also is the same shape of bone for a lot of bird toe bones.
